Privacy & Data
Last updated: March 2026
We believe in plain language. This policy tells you exactly what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. We are not a corporation with a legal team — we are a brotherhood that respects the men in it.
Short version: We collect only your email address. We use it to send The Creed's newsletter. We store it on our own server. We never sell it. You can have it deleted at any time.
| Data | Why | How Long |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | To send you The Creed's weekly dispatch and community updates | Until you unsubscribe or request deletion |
| Tags / source label | To understand which part of the site you signed up from | Same as above |
| Sign-up timestamp | To maintain an accurate subscriber record | Same as above |
We do not collect: your name, location, IP address, payment information, or any other personal data. We do not use tracking pixels, analytics cookies, or behavioural advertising.
Your email address is stored in a JSON file on our private server. It is not stored in a third-party CRM, marketing platform, or cloud provider unless you are explicitly notified otherwise. The file is accessible only to Creed administrators with a private key.
By subscribing, you consent to receive:
We do not send paid advertisements, sponsored content, or partner promotions. Every email is written by The Creed, for The Creed.
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your email address with any third party. Period. The only exception would be if we are compelled to by law — in which case we would notify you if legally permitted to do so.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or any jurisdiction with data protection rights, you have the following rights:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Matrix community channel listed below. We will respond within 30 days.
Every dispatch contains an unsubscribe link. Clicking it permanently removes your email from our list. Alternatively, you can contact us directly and request removal. We will act on all removal requests within 5 business days.
Your data is protected by server-level security measures and is accessible only via an admin key held by The Creed's technical administrators. We take this responsibility seriously. We will notify subscribers promptly in the event of any data breach affecting their information.
The Creed is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has subscribed, please contact us and we will delete the record immediately.
We may update this policy. Any significant changes will be announced in the weekly dispatch. The date at the top of this document will always reflect the most recent update.
To exercise your rights, request data deletion, or ask questions about this policy, reach us via our Matrix channel: The Creed on Matrix.
